The days are winding down. I can't believe in 1 week, I will be boarding a plane with Jason to Iowa. He's spending a week with me over there, exploring and visiting some friends. Then on the 8th he will drop me off at the NCCC Campus, help me unpack, and then head home :(
We had a really good and much needed talk about everything that's been going on lately the other night and we both broke down. As I said though, it was needed. We have such a strong and honest relationship, and this distance will do nothing but strengthen what we already have. I don't really know how I lucked out with him. He has been so supportive of my passions and dreams. He has helped me more than anyone will ever really realize.
This next chapter of my life is starting oh so soon. Am I ready?! Physically, I think so. Material wise? I believe I have enough. Emotionally, probably not, but we need to learn and grow everyday of our lives :D

I wasn't going to have a blogsite specifically for my Americorp experience but I have decided that it would be best for me to have one solely for Americorp.
I can't believe the time has gone by so quickly. I can still remember the exact moment I got the email that announced I was accepted at the campus is Vinton, Iowa. It was like receiving your acceptance letter from college. It was an amazing feeling.
I've realized that 2011 brought me plenty of new experiences and new adventures:
- I graduated from Fresno State University with my B.S. in Criminology-Victimology (Magna Cum Laude)
- I was given an Administrative position at the camp that I have worked at for the past 2 summers.
- I traveled around Europe for 23 days
- Got my first tattoo and piercing
- I got accepted into Americorps Winter Class 18
2011 was a good year. 2012 is looking good so far.
This blog will be my record of my experiences while in Americorp. My rants, my discussions, my fears, and my glories.
I've already met some amazing people via the Vinton Class 18 facebook page. I can't believe the time is nearly here. I leave in 10 days for Iowa. Let's hear it for new chapters!
